Mrs. Malvena Rae Caleb, 95, of New Church, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Hartley Hall Nursing Home, Pocomoke, Md. She is the wife of the late William James Caleb Sr. Born on Tangier Island on Nov. 22, 1922, her parents were the late Talmadge Parks and Mattie Moore Parks.
Mrs. Caleb is survived by her children, Jerry Parks, of Salisbury, Md., William James Caleb Jr., of Delaware, and Joyce Leager, of New Church; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on July 9, 2018, at Fox & Holston Funeral Home, Chincoteague, with interment following at Downing’s Cemetery, Oak Hall, with the Rev. Maury Enright officiating.
