Mrs. Jacqueline C. Osmond Hartford, 71, of Cape Charles, passed away on Aug. 28, 2018. She was born on May 15, 1947, to Jack and Jean Malis Osmond, of Virginia Beach. Mrs. Hartford graduated in 1965 from Virginia Beach High School.
She also attended Old Dominion University. She was a retired real estate agent with Bay Creek Realty. Mrs. Hartford was happiest when she was gardening, fishing or boating. She loved hunting for sea glass on the Chesapeake Bay. She was extremely kind to animals and always ready to help a lost or wounded animal. She was kind and had a gentle heart.
Mrs. Hartford is preceded in death by both of her parents and husband, Justin Hartford. She is survived by her sister, Linda (Osmond) Wirth, of Genova, Nev.; her nephew and his wife, Carson Linwood (Melynda) Walton; and two great-nieces, of Norfolk, Va.; her stepdaughter, Lori, and her husband, Peter Miller, of Chesapeake, Va.; and her lifetime best friend, Georgette Velasquez.
A memorial service will be held on Oct. 6, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Bay Creek Resort Club, 1 Beach Club Way, Cape Charles, VA 23310.
