Ray Phillip Padgett Jr., 44, of Accomac, passed away on Nov. 22, 2018, in Accomac. 

Born Dec. 9, 1973, in Nassawadox, he was the son of Cheryl Shupe Bibbins and Ray Phillip Padgett Sr., as well as his stepfather, the late Leander Drummond and his stepmother, Debbie. Mr. Padgett was a Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved his family. 

Other than his mother, Mr. Padgett is survived by three brothers, Billy, Bobby and Donny Padgett; several spiritual brothers and sisters; three aunts, Debbie, Lynn, and Jeanette; two uncles, Gene Shupe and J.J. Padgett; numerous other aunts and uncles; three spiritual mothers, Josephine Kellam, Hazel Trader, and Deborah Hall; several nieces and nephews; two great-nephews; numerous cousins; special friends, Shawn Coston, Ryan Williams, Bryan Clayton, Johnny Lewis, and Mathony Ames; and many, many other friends and family members. 

Other than his stepfather, Mr. Padgett was preceded in death by his Uncle, Robert Shupe. 

A funeral service was held Nov. 27 from the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley with Dr. Patricia Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Parksley Cemetery. 

Viewing will be private.
