Fire Leaves Three Dead in Nelsonia

By Linda Cicoira — Three people, whose names have not been released by authorities, died Friday morning in a mobile home fire in Nelsonia, according to C. Ray Pruitt, director of the Accomack Department of Public Safety.

Firefighters were called to Johnson Court for “a residential fire with entrapment,” at 10 a.m. Units from Bloxom, Parksley, Atlantic, Tasley, New Church, and Onancock responded along with Bloxom rescue. State police and the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office were also alerted. The incident is being investigated.
