By Linda Cicoira A 74-year-old Bloxom man is being held in Accomack Jail without bond after being charged with eight sex crimes including the rape and sodomy of a juvenile, according to a clerk at the county juvenile and domestic relations court.

Samuel Nock, of Hinman Street, is accused of the offenses alleged to have occurred between Sept. 30, 2018, and March 24. A reporter was permitted to ask questions about the case but was not allowed to see the file because it involves a juvenile.

Nock was charged with rape by force or threat, three counts of aggravated sexual battery by force/weapon, two counts of sodomy of a helpless victim, and two counts of object sexual penetration by force.

Nock was arrested April 11. He hired James Broccoletti, of Norfolk, to defend him. An August preliminary hearing was scheduled.
