Norma Pruitt Fletcher

Mrs. Norma Pruitt Fletcher, 90, wife of the late Dorsey Lee Fletcher and a resident of Quinby, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Heritage Hall in Nassawadox.

Born August 28, 1928, in Tangier, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Matthew Pruitt and the late Ona Dise Pruitt. Mrs. Fletcher worked at the former Dulaney Foods in Exmore, attended Smith’s Chapel United Methodist Church, and enjoyed bingo and crafts at Heritage Hall, where she made her home the last two years.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Harding of Glen Burnie, Md.; two sisters, Violet Mears, of Parksley, and Sidney Ann Davis, of Pocomoke, Md.; a brother, Brooks Dale Pruitt and his wife, Sharon, of Onancock; three grandchildren, Wendy Coggins (Mark), Yvonne Burger (John), and Kelly Harding; three great-grandchildren, David Harding, and Anna and Ava Burger; and many nieces, nephews, and their families. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jerry Edward Fletcher, and three sisters, Sue Brown, Eva Parks and Nancy Horner.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at the Quinby Cemetery on Monday, April 22, 2019, at 3 p.m.
