One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Seaside Road south of Eastville.
The Virginia State Police reported receiving a report at around 11:55 a.m. of the crash in the 18000 block of Seaside Road.
Preliminary investigation showed a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck struck a tree off the roadway, causing the vehicle to become engulfed in fire, killing the driver.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michella Anaya said that due to the fire, identification of the driver will have to be made by the medical examiner.
