“Love, Loss and What I Wore”

May 16, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Chincoteague Island Theatre Company presents “Love, Loss and What I Wore” as the first production of their 3rd Thursday Theatre series on May 16 at Chincoteague Cultural Alliance’s Community Center for the Arts, 6309 Church Street.  Doors open at 7:30pm, show time is 8:00pm.  Admission is a suggested donation of $5.

“Our 3rd Thursday Theatre series are staged readings which allow us to bring even more theatre to the community,” said Artistic Director, Lexi Hubb.  “Our production for May, ‘Love, Loss and What I Wore’, is our first ever all-female production!  It was written by women, directed by a woman, and the actors are all women.”

Written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, and directed by Lexi Hubb, “Love, Loss and What I Wore” is a series of female centric monologues and ensemble pieces using rotating actors in various roles.  Topics ranging from relationships to wardrobes are combined with wit and honesty for a powerful yet tender production.

The Chincoteague Island Theatre Company is sponsored by the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance, an all-volunteer, community-based, not-for-profit (501[c]3) organization.  Founded in 2011 by Artistic Director Lexi Hubb, the mission of the CITC is to further enhance the island’s cultural and artistic opportunities by introducing theatre performance and education.
