The Magnificent Ambersons Book Discussion
Thus far the number of persons participating in the Cape Charles Memorial
Library 100th Anniversary’s Town-wide read of The Magnificent Ambersons
seems to be very heartening! The books are constantly checked out of the Library.
Peach Street Books has sold virtually every copy that they ordered. The book is being
downloaded online at various websites for use on personal electronic devices. We are
also excited about the showing of the movie of the same name on February, 17 at 3:00
p.m. at the Palace. However. . .
A number of persons have asked whether there will be a book discussion concerning the
book. Initially, we didn’t plan for that, but, it now seems like a great thing to do – so we
are going to do it! On Tuesday, February 12, we will discuss the book at the Cape
Charles Civic Center at 7:00 p.m. All are Welcome!
The Eastern Shore Post is the only locally owned newspaper on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
