In Honor of Palm Sunday Weekend, The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Accomack County Branch will sponsor a ”7 UP” PRAYER BREAKFAAST commemorating “Lazarus” Saturday, March 27, 2010, Grace Independent Methodist Church-31393 Drummondtown Road-Wachapreague, Virginia at 10:00a.m.
A Fundraiser, dedicated to the YOUTH in our community; a Pre-Celebratory, Auspicious and Momentous occasion which also recognizes the Easter Holiday soon approaching. This Special Event planned will consist of a Breakfast Buffet (To Include Hot/Cold Beverages), Keynote Speakers: Exhorter Mary E. Morris-(Bethel A.M.E. Church (Eastville, VA), Timiy West, Youth Pastor-Cape Charles Baptist Church (Cape Charles, VA), Minister Wisteria Webb-Robinson-Living Word Church of Deliverance (Parksley, VA), Minister Sharone Brown-St Mark Baptist Church (Melfa, VA), Reverend Joe McKnight, Pastor-Hollies Baptist Church (Keller, VA), Sallie Heath, Pastor-House of Refuge Deliverance Center (Parksley, VA) and Bishop David Sabatino, Pastor0-Foundation of Faith Worship Center (Belle Haven, VA) and Entertainment (Featuring: The New Hallelujah Gospel Singers’.) Donation: Ten ($10.00) dollars per person. We anticipate at least 150 people to attend.
An organization for more than One Hundred years has been built on the collective courage of people of all races, nationalities and faiths united in one premise-that all men/women are created equal. From the ballot box to the boardroom, the NAACP has led the fight of civil rights and social justice.
Our Branch, established nearly Sixty years is enduring challenging times. Considering the Eastern Shore of Virginia is extremely impoverished, we are asking the Community as a whole for their support: (Churches, Businesses, Residents, etc); for both Monetary/Product Donations are needed.
