Mr. Warren Lee Mears, of Chincoteague, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, in Nassawadox, at the age of 91. His wife, Eva Mae Mears, predeceased him. He was born on March 22, 1926, on Chincoteague, and his parents were the late William Thomas and Beulah Tyndall Mears. Mr. Mears was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Watson, of Chincoteague, and Linda Wells, of Dagsboro, Del.; grandson, Chuck Brittingham and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Matthew Kreutzer and wife, Justina, Robbie Brittingham, April Wright, William Lowe, and Brenna Lowe; and great-great-grandchildren, Matthew Kreutzer Jr. and Lukas Kreutzer.
A funeral service was held on March 10, 2018, at Fox & Holston Funeral Home, Chincoteague. Interment was at Mechanics Cemetery, Chincoteague, with Rev. Maury Enright officiating.
