Mr. John Allan Hilton, 63, husband of Bonnie Ellen Hilton and a resident of Accomac, passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 19, 1954, in Cheverly, Md., he was a son of the late Edward A. Hilton and Lois Marie Hilton.

Mr. Hilton served his country in the U.S. Air Force and for many years worked in the U.S. Senate printing and graphics shop. In addition to working full time in the print shop, Mr. Hilton was a training instructor for the Maryland Fire Academy, a volunteer firefighter for the former Hillside Volunteer Fire Department and later for Baden Volunteer Fire Department and was a longtime volunteer for the Red Cross. In May 2002, Mr. Hilton and Bonnie moved to the Eastern Shore of Virginia where he worked as a medical transport driver for local ambulance companies, was a member of the American Legion Post 100, and remained dedicated to firefighting, serving at both Tasley Volunteer Company and Onley Volunteer Fire & Rescue. Mr. Hilton proudly spent his life in service to others and was always there to help anyone in need, a legacy that will live on through the many lives he touched.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sons, Shawn Edward Hilton, of Germany, and Aron Allan Hilton and wife, Faye, of Cobb Island, Md.; sister, Sondra Vaughn and husband, Kenneth, of South Carolina; brother, Ronald Hilton, of Maryland; grandchildren, Jordan, Kimberly, Kaitlin, Lorena, Celina, and Exilus; greatgrandchildren, Scarlett and Nero; and several nieces and nephews.

The family invites friends to join them for a visitation to be held at the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
