Mrs. Marcella Frances Coates, 74, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018. Mrs. Coates was a loving and supportive wife of George for 50 years; the mother of George Jr. (wife Ana); grandmother of Isabella and Georgana; sister of Rose Marie, Patie, and the late Tom; aunt to Paulie, Pam, and Joanna; and great-aunt to Malia.
She was a full-time resident of the Eastern Shore for 37 years, an active and supportive member of St. Charles Catholic Church, and a volunteer at Broadwater Academy and Hospice of the Eastern Shore. Mrs. Coates was a good and generous friend and supporter of charities. All were blessed to have had her in their lives, and she will be incredibly missed.
A Christian Wake service was held Aug. 8, 2018, at St. Charles Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Breslin officiating.
