Mrs. Kathleen Wilson Jones, 98, a resident of Exmore, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Nassawadox. A native of Cape Charles, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Wilson and the late Daisy Mae Shaw Wilson. She was retired from Gregg Harriett Shirt Factory, volunteered as a Pink Lady at Shore Memorial Hospital and member of Exmore Baptist Church for over 45 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Catherine J. Scott and her husband, Jeff, of Exmore; two grandchildren, Michael T. Scott and his wife, Carrie, of Nandua Bay, and Lisa S. Davis and her husband, Mark, of Exmore; twelve great-grandchildren; eleven greatgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was predeceased by a granddaughter, Robin Lawson Chapman; four brothers, Walter Wilson, Glen Wilson, Earl Wilson, and Willie Wilson; and a sister, Mary W. Mears.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at Doughty Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Interment was private in Belle Haven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shore Christian Academy, 11624 Occohannock Rd., Exmore, VA 23350.
