Mrs. Ruby Boole Bull, 100, wife of the late Capt. Ryland Ames Bull and a resident of Cheriton passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at her residence. A native of Exmore, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Boole and the late Pearl May Kellam Boole. Mrs. Bull was a retired teacher, having taught four years in Charlottesville, Va., one year in Cheriton, and 20 years in Cape Charles.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Cape Charles. She is survived by three children, R. Keith Bull and his wife, Sherry, of Machipongo, Jeffrey M. Bull and his wife, Andrea, of Jonesville, Va., and Martha Bull Trombold and her husband, Paul, of Mars,
Pa.; four grandchildren, Suzanne Bailey and her husband, Justin, of Knoxville, Tenn., David Bull and his wife, Lindsey, of Knoxville, Jenna Mersereau and her husband, Jimmy, of Maple Grove, Minn., and Cara Nagel and her husband, Justin, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and four great-grandchildren, Alex Bailey, Abby Bailey, Ryland Bull, and Ruby Mersereau. She was predeceased by a brother, Mawood Earl Boole, and a sister, Helen Boole Kellam.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Doughty Funeral
Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Lutz officiating. Family will join friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service. Interment will be private in Belle Haven Cemetery. Gather with the family afterwards in Cheriton at 4 p.m. for light refreshments. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 326, Cape Charles, VA 23310.
