Several People Accused Of Felonies in Accomack

Several people were accused last week of committing felonies, according to records filed in Accomack General District Court.
Sharod Cornell Meyers, 19, of Michelle Circle in Melfa, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute more than a half-ounce but less than 5 pounds of marijuana on Nov. 21. He was arrested the same day. Trooper J.M. Boone investigated.
In another case, Donna Lee Hanbidge, 75, of East Point Road in Onancock, was charged with a third offense of shoplifting, which is a felony. Records show she was seen on a store surveillance video putting two containers of 24-oz Coors Light in her purse. The incident occurred at Corner Mart in Onancock Nov. 6. An unsecured bond was set for $5,500. Hanbidge was arrested Nov. 7. Officer Kim Whitelock of the Onancock Police Department investigated.
Steve Jean, 23, of Hampton Arbor Avenue, and Marquise DZhaun Thomas, 22, of Main Sail Drive, both in Hampton, Va., were charged with possession with intent to distribute more than a half-ounce of marijuana on Nov. 20. They were arrested the same day. An unsecured bond of $5,000 was set for Jean. Thomas is free on a $3,500 unsecured bond. Deputy K.A. Reese of the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office investigated
Maryland is seeking to extradite Matthew Grimes, 49, of Luff Court in Greenbackville, as he is wanted in connection with two counts of second-degree burglary and a count of failure to appear in Towson. Grimes is being held without bond.
Ryan Dennis Taylor, 20, of Savannah Road in Hallwood, will not be prosecuted for a felony charge. He was accused of maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle on Oct. 5.
Jason Allen Altemose, 39, of Donato Drive in Ashley, Pa., will not be prosecuted in connection with the July 21 malicious wounding of Jimmy Lee Ramsey. When an officer arrived at the scene, a witness said Altemose stabbed Ramsey, who was found with a wound to his right forearm. He had been bitten on the left forearm and had contusions to the left side of his forehead and above his right eye.
