Ms. Karen Ann Ezersky Shuck, 42, of Mears, passed away April 27, 2019, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.
Born June 4, 1976, in Salisbury, Md., she was the daughter of Betty Annis Ezersky and the late Dr. David Jerome Ezersky. In her youth, Ms. Shuck was an avid horse rider and loved showing. She graduated from Arcadia High School, received her bachelor’s degree from Chowan University, and then earned her master’s degree from McDaniel College. She taught for many years, most recently at James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury, Md.
Other than her mother, Ms. Shuck is survived by her daughter; Ivey Ezersky Shuck, of Mears; a sister, Jill Ezersky, of Exmore; a special cousin, Michael Turner Jr.; an aunt; two uncles; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11 a.m. from the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
