Mrs. Myrie W. Killmon, 99, of Bloxom, passed away July 13, 2019, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 29, 1920, in Rue, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. Wessells and the late Daisey Bundick Wessells.
She was a member of the former Bloxom United Methodist Church since 1946, a member of Onancock Emblem Club #195 for 27 years, and the Women of Moose #2163 through 2004. She was a volunteer of Arcadia Nursing Center and Quail Run Assited Living for many years.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Killmon III; three grandchildren, Eugene R. Merritt III and wife, Bonnie, Rodney Merritt and wife, Kelly, and Jennifer Lynn Killmon; and seven great-grandchildren, Gene Ray, Bianca, and Lacey Merritt, Ashley Killmon, Levin Merritt, Mason Key and Jacob Key.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Daniel Vinston Killmon Jr.; a daughter, Kaye Killmon Merritt; and a son-in-law, Eugene Merritt.
A graveside service was held Thursday, July 18, 2019, from the Parksley Cemetery with Pastor Freddie Ward officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Parksley Baptist Church, P.O. Box 375, Parksley, VA 23421.
Arrangements were made by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
