Mr. Raymond Lee Guy, 93, of Parksley, husband of Alice Marie Guy, passed away Sept. 20, 2019, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.

Born May 3, 1926, in Locustville, he was the son of the late Walter Carrol Guy and Annie Bundick Guy. Mr. Guy served his country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was known as the beloved ice cream delivery man for Pensupreme, where he worked for over 36 years. He was also a member of the former Parksley Lodge 325 AM/FM, where he earned his 50-year pin. Mr. Guy was longtime member of Zion Baptist Church. He loved yard work, being outside, hunting, fishing, cutting grass, clamming, and carpentry work.

Other than his wife of 73 years, Alice Marie, Mr. Guy is survived by his daughter, Brenda Everitt, of Salisbury, Md.; a son, Raymond Guy Jr., of Parksley; a brother, Jerry Guy, of Parksley; three grandchildren, Brandon Guy and wife, Savannah, of Parksley, Jake Everitt and Heidi Maynard; three great-grandchildren, Lauren and Lucas Maynard and Jaden Clark; and close, special family friends, Gerald W. “Gerry” Hyland and Christiane “Gigi” Hyland.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William “Billy” Guy and Jimmy Guy.

A memorial service was be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, from the Zion Baptist Church in Parksley with the Rev. John Cullop and the Rev. Andrew Matthews officiating. Interment followed in the Parksley Cemetery.
