Jackets continued tough play as they traveled to Altavista to face the Colonels from the Altavista Combined School. In the midst of their season, the Jackets are still struggling to stop the run as the Colonels were able to rack up 389 rushing yards.

Not to be outdone, the Jackets’ hard-nosed running offense also dealt its fair share of damage as Landen Sayers exploded for 212 yards on the ground including two scores. Dustin Splawn also added 95 rushing yards and a score on 10 carries. Liam Flynn was able to complete seven of his 11 pass attempts for 65 yards and a 2-point conversion. The defense was led by Trenton Johnson as he recorded 10 total tackles including one for a loss.

The Jackets will be back in action Friday, Oct. 25, to face off against a 3-3 Colonel Richardson squad.
