Division II Region A volleyball playoffs started Nov. 5 with Nandua facing off against the Prince Edward Eagles in Onley. The Warriors fell in three straight sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-18) to conclude their 2019-20 season.

The Warriors were uncharacteristic of themselves on the night, as they struggled returning the serve at times and made errors throughout the game. The Nandua squad did have some new faces on the court as the Warriors pulled Kallie Williams and Jordan Corckett from the JV squad to gain some varsity experience.

Nandua hadn’t played since Oct. 24, which may have been the reasoning behind a cold start that led to the loss. They were led by Abigail Killmon and Lyric Sampson who both recorded five kills and two aces in the game. Senior Necole Stravino added another two kills of her own from the back row. Prince Edward will move on to the quarterfinals to play the number one seeded team in the tournament, Bluestone High School.
