Mr. Walter Joseph Budd, 92, husband of Clare Bonniwell Budd and a resident of Hacks Neck, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock. A native of Hacks Neck, he was the son of the late Charles I. Budd and the late Anna Bennett Budd. He was a retired farmer and raised Methodist.
In addition to his loving wife of 68 years, he is survived by his daughter, Ruth L. Budd and her husband, Edgar Varela, of Farmville, Va., and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, at Doughty Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Parks officiating. Interment followed in St. George’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Pungoteague. Memorials may be made to Painter Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 275, Painter, VA 23420.
