Ms. Ruth A. Andersen, 70, a resident of Cape Charles, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock. A native of Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Christian Andersen and the late Roselene Ardeth Voss Andersen. She was a retired executive assistant for Snug Harbor. Ms. Andersen lived her life by the saying “Carpe Diem.”
She is survived by her brother, Robert Andersen, and his wife, Deborah, of Machipongo. She was predeceased by her brother, Christian Andersen, and sister, Ardeth Andersen Miller.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA Eastern Shore, Inc., P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
