Mrs. Debbie Daisey Williams, 53, cherished wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at her home in Messongo Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, with her loved ones at her side. Born Jan. 30, 1966, in Nassawadox, she was a daughter of the late Winfred Daisey Sr. and Elizabeth Hurley Daisey.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steven Franklin “Steve” Williams; sons, Steven F. Williams Jr. and wife, Erica, of Atlantic, and Allen M. Williams and wife, Emily, of Messongo; stepsons, Michael “Mickey” Taylor and wife, Melissa, of Delaware, and Jason Taylor and Jenny, of Wattsville; sister, Juanita Savage and husband, Tommy, of Chincoteague; brothers, Winfred Daisey Jr. and wife, Unie, of Colorado, and Douglas Daisey and wife, Barbara, of Florida; brothers-in-law, Kalman J. “Jeff” Williams Jr., of Messongo, and Timothy L. Williams, of Grotons, Va.; grandchildren, Bella, Gracie, Allen Jr., Michelle, Anthony, Tonya, Tres, Damion, and Dakota; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Williams worked at the former R&G Shirt Factory and later became a legal aid for Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia in Belle Haven. Though she loved her career, she was most proud of her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She looked forward to days spent fishing and hunting with Steve and treasured every moment surrounded by her family. Mrs. Williams was often found with a puzzle book in hand and was always in search of her next “favorite” pen. As a devoted member of Pocomoke United Methodist Church, Mrs. Williams’ faith in the Lord was unwavering. She will be remembered for her beautiful heart, limitless dedication, and remarkable strength.

Funeral services were conducted from the Pocomoke United Methodist Church, in Grotons, Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, with the Rev. Maury Enright officiating. Interment followed in the Knight Family Cemetery

Contributions may be made in Mrs. Williams’ memory to the Pocomoke UMC Building Fund, 24406 Saxis Road, Temperanceville, VA 23442.
