Mr. Kenna Charles Fetterman, 69, loving husband of Betty White Fetterman and a resident of Temperanceville, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Del. Born March 4, 1951, in Nassawadox, and raised in Quinby, he was a son of the late Robert Stahl Fetterman Sr. and Irene Godbey Fetterman.

A proud Vietnam veteran, Mr. Fetterman served his country in the U.S. Army. Following discharge, he began working as a welder for Holly Farms, now Tyson Foods, where he later retired after 50 years. Mr. Fetterman enjoyed deer hunting, family vacations and outings, and was always working on something around the house. A true gentleman, he adored Betty and happily went out of his way to show her – whether he was holding her hand, opening her car door, or agreeing to purple décor and canopy beds. Mr. Fetterman was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife of more than 45 years, he is survived by his sons, Tony Dean Evans, of Salisbury, Md., and Victor William Evans, of Sanford; sister, Beverly Fetterman Sebra and husband, Ken, of Quinby; brothers, Robert S. Fetterman Jr. and wife, Pam, of Bloxom, and Douglas W. Fetterman and wife, Donna, of Deep Creek; grandson, Victor William Evans II; and several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William Phillips Fetterman; and his beloved furbaby, “Missy.”

To honor Mr. Fetterman’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at the Downings Ceme ery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Shore SPCA. P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
