Suspect Sought in Shooting near Accomac

Police are looking for a suspect after a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds Wednesday near Accomac.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office received a report at around 2:26 p.m. March 25 that a man had been shot on Tyler Lane near Accomac, according to Sheriff Todd Wessells.
When deputies arrived, they found Donald Veney, 26, of Accomac, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported by ambulance to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Thursday.
Investigation into the incident led to arrest warrants being obtained against Robert James Northan Jr., of Parksley, for attempted murder, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Virginia State Police and Parksley Police Department.
