Two Found Dead Near Painter in Apparent Homicide

Officers found a man and a woman dead of gunshot wounds early Wednesday near Painter, according to Accomack County Sheriff Todd Wessells.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
The sheriff’s office received a report at around 12:28 a.m. that two people were missing from a residence on Coal Kiln Road; another report was received that a white BMW driven by the missing people had been found on Doughty Farm Road.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered the two bodies.
The victims were transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Norfolk for autopsy.
The man was identified as Princeton Howard Bragg, 37, of Painter.
The woman’s identity was not immediately released, pending autopsy results.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Virginia State Police, the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, and the Eastern Shore Drug Task Force.
