Mr. Lawrence Kefford Linton Jr., 69, of Saxis, husband of Martha Jane Linton, passed away April 29, 2020, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.
Born on Oct. 12, 1950, in Saxis, he was the son of the late Lawrence Kefford Linton Sr. and the late Madeline Pearl Marshall. ­Kefford was a waterman and loved to carve decoys and wooden boats. He also enjoyed going to church and reading his Bible. He was a proud member of the Saxis Volunteer Fire Department, the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, and the Lighthouse Fellowship Church on Chincoteague.
Other than his wife of 51 years, Martha Jane, Kefford is survived by a son, Larry Kefford Linton, and fiance, Tina Kinard; two daughters, Terinna Leigh Linton Hill and husband, Thomas Hill, and Crystal Gayle Linton Simpson and husband, Steven James Simpson; two sisters, Lorie Ayne Linton Thomas and husband, Bruce Edward Thomas, and Winnie Attanasio; a sister-in-law, Debbie Ellis; a brother-in-law, Louis Ewell; grandchildren, Brodie Asa Hill, Seth Thomas Hill, Keegan Wylde Hill, Mason Lee Hill, Jorja Lynne Simpson, Ethan James Simpson, and Aiden James Simpson; step-grandchildren, Kristina Kinard, Kayla Kinard, and Mason Kinard; five step-great-grandchildren; nieces, Krista Nicole Voss Killmon, Kelly Renae Thomas, Lea Ewell, and Tracey Ewell Martin; two nephews, Joshua Lawrence Voss and Brian Ewell; special family friends, Devin Milne, Bryson Milne, and Buddy Taylor; numerous friends and church friends; and his favorite cats, Peek-a-boo, Grey Jr., Missy, Babygirl, and Velcro.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-great-grandchild, Kyia Kinard; and a brother-in-law, Drewer Ewell.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley, Va.
