Mrs. Olive J. Armour Twilley, 95, passed away May 6, 2020, in Shore Health and Rehab Center.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Valentine’s Day 1925, she was the daughter of the late John Armour and the late Caroline Baines Armour.
Mrs. Twilley was a “Ma Bell” Telephone Co. operator, elementary school cafeteria cook, seamstress, and homemaker. She was a member of Island Baptist Church.
Mrs. Twilley was predeceased by her husband of sixty five years, Robert L. Twilley; one sister, Ida May Armour Connolly; and three brothers, Franklin Armour, Donald Armour, and John Armour.
Mrs. Twilley is survived by her two daughters, Olivia Holloway, and her husband, Jim, of Atlantic, and Suzan Gridley and her husband, Jim, of Carlsbad, Calif. She is also survived by four grandsons, Jimmy Holloway Jr., and wife, Sallie, of Pocomoke, Md., Tim Holloway and wife, Mychelle, of Exmore, Benjy Holloway and wife, Valerie, of Temperanceville, and Mathew Vaughn, of Edmonds, Wash.; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Katlyn, Hayes, Haddon, and Trey Holloway. She is survived by one brother, Thomas Armour, and his wife, Karen, of Berlin, N.J., and several nieces and nephews.
A family graveside service was held May 11, 2020, at Redmens Cemetery in Chincoteague, with Chaplin Larry Lilly officiating.
