Mrs. Linda Marie Watts-Giddins, beloved daughter of the late Cecil and Gladys Watts, was born on March 15, 1957, in Franktown. She departed this life June 24, 2020, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.

Linda was educated in the public schools of Northampton County. After graduation, she moved to Trenton, N.J. There she began working as a secretary for the Department of Transportation for the state of New Jersey. Linda dedicated 25 years of service before she entered retirement. Upon her retirement, she relocated back to the Eastern Shore. In 1994, she became a foster mother to William Kylief Richmond, whom she loved and adored so much.

Linda was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Franktown. After she married Willie Giddins, now deceased, she joined Holy Trinity Baptist Church in Pungoteague. There she served her church in many capacities including: church treasurer, deaconess, trustee, and usher. She was a God-fearing woman. We are so thankful to God for blessing her with such a beautiful life and allowing us to be a part of it.

In her leisure, she enjoyed selling Avon, visiting family and friends, watching wrestling, football, and the Young and the Restless. Linda also spent countless hours cooking and baking for her loved ones. She nurtured all with food and wisdom and this will be missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Giddins; sister, Margaret Lucille Watts; brother, Johnny Watts; and three nieces, Janet Watts, Jackie Bailey, and Sheleta Watts.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, William Kylief Richmond; two sisters, Dora Watts-Custis, of Willingboro, N.J., and Joan Ruffin, of Runnemede, N.J.; three brothers, Cecil Watts, of Franktown, Charles Watts, of Norfolk, Va., and Steve Watts, of Trenton, N.J.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Arrangements were made by Cooper & Humbles Funeral Home in Accomac.
