The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death on Tangier.
The office received a report of a dead body at 16303 Main Ridge Road on Tangier at around 8:57 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, according to Sheriff Todd Wessells.
When deputies arrived, they found the body of a man, later identified as Gregory K. Eskridge, 68, of Tangier, inside the residence.
The body has been transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Norfolk.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission and the Tangier Volunteer Fire Department.
