Mr. Larry Kyle Frashure, 83, of Bloxom, husband of Mildred “Millie” Frashure, passed away Aug. 10, 2020, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.
Born April 5, 1937, in Cove Lick, W.V., he was the son of the late Burl Frashure and the late Cora Moody Frashure. Larry was a retired machinist for Seagrams Distillery.
A faithful servant of the Lord, Larry was a devoted member of Guilford United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed and celebrated with his Emmaus community, having completed the E.S. #11 walk. He was an avid woodworker and carpenter, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors. A native of West Virginia, he loved both the mountains and the seashore. Above all, he was a man of great integrity and an enormously devoted Dad.
Larry is survived by his sweetheart, who became the love of his life, Mildred Ann Hanssen Frashure. He is also survived by four children, Douglas Allen Frashure (Lynn), Susan Ann Filipiak, Amy Lynn Easley (Alex), and Jeffrey Scott Frashure (Lara); grandchildren, Joshua Frashure (Sara), Jason Frashure (Andrea), Rebecca Cunningham (Jeremy), Brian Manieri (Alyssa), Jonathan Easley (Bubba), Sarah Easley, Tony Easley, Paul Frashure, and Emily Frashure; seven great-grandchildren; and a very special and faithful sister-in-law, Elsie Hanssen.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Frashure.
