Mrs. Hallie Mae Munford, 76, wife of the late Fred W. Munford Sr. and a resident of Belle Haven, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, at her residence. A native of Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Harry L. Hope Jr. and the late Alma Marie Tipton Hope.
She was a retired registered nurse at Shore Memorial Hospital, serving in the psychiatric ward for over 15 years, and a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Fred W. Munford III, of Belle Haven, Stacey Munford, of Keller, Megan Capehart, of Mechanicsville, Va., and Thomas James Bonniwell, of Belle Haven. She was predeceased by her son, Fred W. Munford Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at 11 a.m., at Pungoteague Community Church with the Rev. Bobby Carroll Huether officiating. Interment will be private in Johnson’s United Methodist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Food Bank of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 518, Onley, VA 23418.
