Ms. Gloria J. Snead, 73, of Chincoteague Island, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 28, 2020, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley.
She was born on Chincoteague Island on April 2, 1947, a daughter of the late Charles and Olive Williams Shreaves. She retired from Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center after 34 years of service.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Gloria is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Reed, and her husband, Billy Jr., of Chincoteague Island; three granddaughters, Megan Joseph and her husband, Jorshe, of Lynchburg, Rachel Harley and her husband, Matt, of Chincoteague Island, and Rebekah Leonard and her husband, Hunter, of Chincoteague Island; grandson, Billy Reed III, of Chincoteague Island; three great-granddaughters, Jordyn Joseph, of Lynchburg, Va., Maleena Joseph, of Lynchburg, and Layla Harley, of Chincoteague Island; two sisters, Rosetta Bradshaw, of Union City, Tenn., and Pat Shreaves, of Vineland, N.J.; brother, James Shreaves, and his wife, Cathy, of Ridgewood, N.J.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles Shreaves Jr., and brother-in-law, Bo Bradshaw Sr.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, at 11 a.m., at the Daisey Cemetery, Church Street, Chincoteague Island, with Pastor Jorshe Joseph officiating.
