Ms. Barbara Wimbrough Eck, 78, of Chincoteague Island, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 5, 2020, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.
She was born in Nassawadox, on March 20, 1942, a daughter to the late Dallas “Pete” and Dorthea (Faber) Wimbrough.
Barbara is survived by her son, Calvin Lilliston III, and his wife, Cathy Jo, of Chincoteague Island; grandson, Trevor Lilliston, of Lynchburg, Va.; granddaughter, Hannah Lilliston, of Chincoteague Island; and two nephews, Michael and Jason Whealton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gregory Lewis Crockett; and sister, Carol Whealton.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, at the Salyer Funeral Home, on Chincoteague Island, with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating.
Burial took place in the John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lighthouse Fellowship Church, 6329 Maddox Blvd., Chincoteague Island, VA 23336.
Services were entrusted to Salyer Funeral Home on Chincoteague Island.
