Mrs. Jane Brittingham Graves, 72, of Salisbury, passed Nov. 15, 2020, due to medical complications. Jane was born on March 17, 1948, a daughter to the late Mabel Powell.
Jane and Bobby Graves married in 1983, residing in Salisbury. Together they raised four children, Eric Olson (Laura Olson), Jessica Taylor (Joel Taylor), Zach Graves, and Jake Graves. She is also survived by her brother, Tom Brittingham (Melanie Brittingham), a niece, nephew, and seven grandchildren.
Jane graduated from Chincoteague High School, class of 1966, and received her RN degree from Wor-Wic Community College.
Jane was passionate about her patients, making sure they received the best care in her 35 years working at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. She volunteered much time and many contributions to her local church families and other volunteer organizations.
Each year she would return to her roots in Chincoteague Island during Pony Penning and could be spotted at the carnival reminiscing for hours with other Chincoteaguers about the good ol‘ days.
Her wishes were to be donated to the State Anatomy Board to support medical research and impact lives. Future plans will be made for a celebration of her life on Chincoteague Island once her cremains are received. In lieu of flowers, she would love for donations to be sent to Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company.
