The Vikings’ softball team took the field against Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks Monday, April 26, on the Vikings’ home field in Exmore.

Broadwater had already defeated the Seahawks on the road April 12, 8-4, and now sits at 2-2 on the season.

Eighth grade student athlete Ramsey Revel got the win for the Vikings, pitching all seven innings and ending the game with 10 strikeouts against two walks and one RBI.

Broadwater was down one run entering the bottom of the seventh inning when sophomore Molly Brown scored the winning run off a Harlin Johnson single. An error on the play committed by the Seahawks’ third baseman allowed for Brown to advance home and steal the game.

Brown finished the game going three for four at the plate and with three RBIs and the winning run.

Harlin Johnson followed with the winning hit going two for four with two RBIs. Hannah Davis was two for four with one RBI. The Vikings will next be on their field May 3 against Portsmouth Christian before hitting a stretch of away games to finish the season.
