Three Games, Three Hat Tricks, and Nandua’s Joseph Leads the Way

Highlighted by a five-goal game against Northampton, Nandua’s Hoslerson Joseph leads all scorers with 9 goals in three games.

The Nandua Warriors are now halfway through their 2021 season and are undefeated in district play. The Warriors’ Betsael Ortiz-Roblero has three shutouts on the year and has only let up two goals to the Arcadia Firebirds. In the last three games, Nandua’s Hoslerson Joseph has exploded for nine total goals including a five-goal game on May 10 against the Northampton Yellow Jackets to lead the Warriors in scoring.

Nandua’s Odin Bolster is captured just before completing his hat trick against the Arcadia Firebirds. The junior has had six goals in three games.

In each of the last three games a Warrior player has recorded a hat trick and the team has outscored its opponents 10 to 1. The Warriors will look to sweep the district as they next face Arcadia Monday, May, 17, at 5:30 p.m., in Oak Hall.

Game Recaps

May 3, against the Yellow Jackets, Bryan Tinoco led the Warriors with a hat trick, recording three goals. Hoslerson Joseph followed with two goals and one assist. Odin Bolster added two goals, Jeffrey Joseph finished with one goal and one assist, Leonardo Bonilla recorded two assists, and goalie Betsael Ortiz-Roblero had one save.

May 5, against the Arcadia Firebirds, Odin Bolster led the Warriors, recording a hat trick with three goals. Holserson Joseph followed with two goals, Bryan Tinoco and Leonardo Bonilla had two assists apiece, Jerardy Velasquez-Bravo tallied one assist, and Betsael Ortiz-Roblero had eight saves.

May 12, against the Yellow Jackets, Hoslerson Joseph led the Warriors, almost landing a rare double hat trick with five goals. Bolster and Jeffrey Joseph each tallied a goal apiece. Tinoco and Bonilla each finished with two assists, and Ortiz-Roblero recorded the shutout with two saves.
