The 2021 Eastern Shore district track championship was held last week, May 21, at Northampton High School.

The Nandua Warriors swept the team event, winning both divisions with almost identical scores. The Nandua boys scored 88 points, edging out the Arcadia Firebirds who had 78. The Nandua girls teams scored 85 points to secure the district title over the Northampton Yellow Jackets who had 50 points.

Almost all of the athletes performing will advance to the regional meet due to the different class sizes of the Shore teams. Nandua’s and Arcadia’s top performers will travel to Yorktown to compete in the Region A Division II championship at York High School June 9. Chincoteague and Northampton will travel to West Point High School June 3 to compete in the Region A Division I Championship.
