Nandua High School senior Ethan Harrower announced last week that he will be continuing his cross-country career next year as a freshman at Shenandoah University.

Harrower started running cross-country his sophomore year and was an All-Region A runner last year when he finished 10th overall with a personal best time of 17:56 on the Bruton High School course. Harrower is also a member of the track team, where he has competed since his ninth grade under head coach James Lawrence.

Harrower was one of the top runners last year on Nandua’s district championship team that finished third in the region and advanced seven runners to the state competition. He’ll look to continue that success for the Hornets, running under Shenandoah head coach Andy Marrocco.

The Orangeville (Ontario, Canada) native has a 3.63 GPA at Nandua and participates in the DECA (formerly Distributive Education Clubs of America) and Health Occupations Students of America clubs. He chose Shenandoah for its prominent nursing program.

Shenandoah is a NCAA Division III school and as a student athlete, Ethan will compete in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference as he pursues a degree in nursing.
