The driver of a 2003 Jeep Liberty and his passenger were uninjured Sunday after the driver, traveling at a high rate of speed on Guard Shore Road, lost control of the vehicle, which flipped and overturned over a wide ditch, landing in the marsh.
Police were called to investigate the single-vehicle crash in the 22500 block of Guard Shore Road at 5:35 p.m.
The driver, Diego Chavez, 19, of Mappsville, was charged with reckless driving and not having an operator’s license.
