Mr. Dallis Johnson, of Horntown, departed this life Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at his residence.
Born in Horntown, Dallis was the son of the late Charles Christopher and the late Doris Johnson. He was affectionately known as “Dal” by his family and friends. Dal was a hard worker and very loyal employee of Don’s Seafood, Chincoteague, for over 30 years. He was married to Carolyn Handy Johnson and they shared 45 years of love.
Private graveside services were held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery, Horntown, with the Rev. Lisa Johnson officiating.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his beloved wife, Carolyn H. Johnson; four children, Kenisha Burton, Torrance Handy, Tristan Handy, and Sherrick Handy; seven grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Handy, Winette Johnson, and Phillipa Milbourne; brothers, Norman Johnson, Albert Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Dalton Christopher, Wardell Christopher, and Lenny Christopher; special niece, Yvonne Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
