Mrs. Teresa M. White, of Accomac, departed this life peacefully Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Accomac, Teresa was the beloved daughter of Julia Beckett and the late Vincent Beckett Sr. She was affectionately known as “Sissy” or “Short Duck” by her brother and sisters. Teresa obtained her nursing certification while employed at Perdue Foods Inc. She worked for Intrepid Home Health for several years until she transitioned to full-time employment at Riverside Shore Life Care. She worked there for many years until her health began to fail.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at the Chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. Charles Kellam Sr. officiating. Interment was in the Star East Cemetery, Accomac.
Fond memories of Teresa will be cherished by her mother, Julia Beckett; two daughters, Tierra Wyatt and Shantel White; son, Johnnie White III; two sisters, Shelia Beckett and Wartissua Frazier; brother, Vincent Beckett; two sisters-in-law; five grandchildren; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and extended family.
