Sheriff investigating woman’s fatal shooting on Daugherty Road

A 38-year-old woman was found fatally shot at a Daugherty Road residence Nov. 10, according to Accomack County Sheriff Todd Wessells.
The sheriff’s office received a report at around 11:06 p.m. of a gunshot victim in the 22000 block of Daugherty Road near Accomac.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim, Chikira Antrice Fletcher, of Daugherty, unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.
The body was transported to the Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
