Ms. Louise O. Collins, of Painter, departed this life Nov. 13, 2021, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley.
Born in Northampton County, Louise was the daughter of the late James and Mary Upshur Collins. She began working on her family’s farm at a young age and later at Byrd Foods for many years. In later years, she gained employment at American Original Seafood and Central Middle School, from which she retired.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at the Chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating. Interment was in the New Allen AME Church Cemetery, Nassawadox.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her niece, whom she raised as her own, Shanna Cary; great-nieces, who were like granddaughters, Mallory Cary and Chelsea Cary; sisters, Dollie Bush, Stella Johnson, and Viola Hudson; brother, William Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
