Mrs. Elizabeth Parks Bender, 86, wife of the late Edward Humphreys Bender and a resident of Nassawadox, formerly of Cheriton, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at The Citadel at Nassawadox. A native of Willis Wharf, she was the daughter of the late Willis W. Parks and the late Lucille Archie Parks. She was a retired teacher’s aide for Northampton Public Schools.
Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Edward Mark Bender and his wife, Tammy, of Capeville, and Arthur Peter Bender, of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Danielle Bender, Ryan Bender, Jessica Stiles, and Ashley Bender; three great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Don Bender, and his wife, Debbie, of Cape Charles. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sherri Ann Bender.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
