Multiple Weather Hazards in Effect Today, Monday, Jan. 3

The National Weather Service in Wakefield, Va., has issued an updated briefing as of Jan. 3, 5:30 a.m., regarding the ongoing winter weather event.

Advisories:

Threats: Accumulating snow, gusty winds, minor to moderate coastal flooding. Gale and storm force winds on the marine side.

Timing: Snow continues through this afternoon. Coastal flooding and marine winds gradually ease tonight and early Tuesday.

Location: Highest snow amounts are expected to be along and north of a line from Farmville, Va., to Richmond, Va., to Salisbury, Md.
