Mr. Terry Oxendine, 68, a resident of Belle Haven, formerly of Waldorf, Md., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. A native of Lumberton, N.C., he was the son of Nora Oxendine, of Belle Haven, and the late Margolus Oxendine. He was a computer analyst for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Washington, D.C.; played semi-pro baseball in Cuba, Fairfax County, Md., and across the United States; and was a baseball coach helping boys to get scholarships to college.
In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by two sisters, Margolane Parker and her husband, Robert, of Onancock, and Sheree Buck and her husband, Gary, of Belle Haven; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Bauters, of Finland, and Ian Buck and his wife, Irina, of Belle Haven; and great-nephews, Cadeus Buck and Gaius Buck.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Accomack Little League, P.O. Box 486, Onancock, VA 23417.
