Winter Storm Watch Issued for Northampton, Accomack Counties

A winter storm watch has been issued for southeast Virginia for late Thursday night through Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service in Wakefield, Va., has issued a winter storm watch for parts of southeast Virginia, including Northampton and Accomack counties, from late Thursday night through Saturday morning.

Heavy snow is possible, with total snow accumulations of 4″ to 7″ possible and wind gusts to 35 mph.

Travel could be very difficult and hazardous conditions could impact morning or evening commutes.

NWS recommends everyone continue to monitor the latest forecasts for updates.
