Mrs. Billie Jean Spizzano, 70, wife of Paul A. Spizzano and a resident of Chesapeake, passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. A native of Exmore, she was the daughter of Ruth Mae Killmon Charnock and the late Rev. William E. Charnock. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church and a devoted wife and loving sister.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by two sons, Edward Smith and his wife, Tammy, of Amelia County, Va., and Jeremy Smith and his wife, Charlotte, of Chesapeake; two sisters, Eleanor C. Anglin and her husband, Tom, of Franklin, N.C., and Tammy Charnock and her husband, Glenn Martin, of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and five grandchildren, Katherine, Joshua, Jonathan, Ryan, and Clayton.
Due to COVID-19 and to honor her wishes, no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
